Getting High on Drupal: CDNs

At the LA Drupal meetup in Downtown Los Angeles on September 21, 2010, I presented the next installment in my 419-part “Getting High on Drupal” series on Drupal high performance, high availability and high scalability. I talked about choosing the right CDN (content delivery network) and how to implement CDN capabilities within Drupal.

The excellent CDN Integration module for Drupal was used during the presentation, as was SoftLayer’s CDNLayer platform. A recording is included below and is available in several video formats at ladrupal.blip.tv. Be sure to check out the 15-minute mark when we saw a 30x speed increase when using the CDN to deliver media.
